This morning, reflecting on how long it sometimes takes to get great things accomplished, I’m kind of loving this meme:
That is all. And I need to remember that message this week, because my schedule this week has been haywire…and that’s resulted in my missing workouts – yikes.
One secret strategy I’ve put together over the years when it comes to my health is this: If I can’t work out at all (say, because of a long travel schedule or a long workday that makes it completely impossible to fit in a workout – and that type of situation happens about twice a year, by the way, so this can’t be one of those “regular excuse” outs that I give myself), then I make sure to be as spot-on with healthy eating as I possibly can be, and I make sure I get in some calisthenics (commercial plug: the Daily Dozen in Fit by Nature is perfect for this) when I get home – or before I head out for the day – and I get back to business as soon as I can with regular, vigorous workouts.
