Fitness Meme of the Week: There are 7 days in the week…

Here’s the fitness meme of the week, courtesy of a really lovely weight-loss blog called Fat Mom to Fit Mom:

Yoda: Do, or do not. There is no "try." Me: Today. Because "someday" isn't a day of the week.
Yoda: Do, or do not. There is no “try.” Me: Today. Because “someday” isn’t one of the days of the week.

Some of us live our entire lives on “somedays.” Someday, I’ll get healthy. Someday, I’ll change careers. Someday, I’ll take that trip I’ve wanted to take.

Well, I’m tackling one of my “somedays” this week. I’m re-learning college math, one of the subjects I thought I “couldn’t” do when I was there the first time around. (Not sure if it helps or hurts that one of my college buddies is a math guru who now has a Ph.D. in the whole subject and a professorship at a major university, but I digress.)

I’m jumping in. Not making assumptions about whether it will be “hard.” (Because, seriously, who cares?) There really is something to the “Just Do It” idea. Just jump in there. If you want to start a workout program, start today. Start right now. “Someday” isn’t one of the seven days of the week. That is all.

Yesterday’s #every48 workout: Speed-walking in the park (my legs are still kind of fatigued) and Daily Dozen calisthenics from Fit by Nature.
