But today’s a busy day, so I offer you this thought for the day:
Some “bad days” are just hard and we get through them…and some are ones where we wake up the next morning a bit bummed out at the choices we made the day before to try to make ourselves feel better.
So here are my rules of engagement for hard days.
1. If you want to feel better, work out, eat well, and go to sleep at a reasonable hour, knowing that things will look better in the morning.
2. If you want to feel gross, tired, exhausted, sleep poorly, and generally wake up the next morning with a D+ outlook on life, by all means miss your workout and eat pizza, fried calamari, and ice cream to make yourself, ahem, feel better.
Guess which one I did yesterday. Yep, the wrong one.
Guess what I’m going to do today. That’s right…get up, dust myself off, eat really healthfully, work out, and move on.
Yesterday’s #every48 workout: an unplanned REST DAY. Still sore from Sunday’s race.
