Reporting for Duty

It’s the start that stops most people.

Saw that on a website of top fitness mantras and thought, yup. I get it. Starting is what counts.

I’ve never regretted – not once – a completed workout. I’ve never been more than five minutes into a workout without being eternally grateful for having gotten started.

I have regretted every missed workout, every time I made an excuse for why I just couldn’t start right then.

No work deadline is worth sacrificing our health.

Yesterday’s #Every48 Workout: Running 4.65 miles in just under 45 minutes. 1 mile warmup, 4 x 1/2 mile at tempo pace (8:45/mile or so) with 1/4 mile rest jogs in between, and about a half-mile of cooldown at the end.
